A Prayer for our Children

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for our children! They are our inheritance, our legacy. A heritage and a gift from you. Virtue and praise are inside of them. This life you have woven into them is amazing. This year, whether it’s in the dorm adjusting to new roommates, marching with the band, on the athletic field, sitting in a classroom, or doing their homework, may our children meditate on you.

Lord Jesus, protect our children against self-harm, against an orphan spirit, fear of failure, mental illness, even the spirit of laziness. Give them an overpowering hunger for your word. For your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Surround them with your truth. Open their eyes, ears, and hearts to the truth concerning drugs, alcohol, sex, and faith in you. Close the door on any unholy alliances. Close the door on blame, bad-mouthing, judgment, past mistakes, sins, and condemnation.

Lord, help them keep their mind on truth and allow your perfect love to cast out all fear. Let them think on things that are honorable, pure, just, and lovely. Give the keen discernment so that they can cast aside ungodly behaviors and cling to what is good in your sight. Especially, when it comes to relationships and their future with you.

Lord, let your praise, your commandments, and your promises echo in their minds and everything against your word be known as a lie! Let your mind be reflected in their words and actions every day of their lives.

I release this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.

I Am An Eyewitness!

2 Peter 1:16 NIV

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

In case you couldn’t tell, I am a born-again child of the Most High God, El-Shaddai. Children of God are called to shine a light in the darkness of this world. We yield everything that we have, everything we are, in order to be used for His purpose. That is to help spread the Kingdom of God to every place on this earth. To call upon the name of Jesus in every situation we find ourselves. To introduce the lost and the orphans of this world to our Abba Father.

Had it not been for the mercies God has shown me, I can’t imagine what pit I would be in at this very moment. God has kept my soul through so many trials, it’s hard to number them! My testimonies are not of any pie in the sky, in the great by-and-by type of desires or dreams. They are not based on anything any pastor or preacher has ever said. God has shown me so much goodness, love, and mercy! If He never did anything else, I’d still praise Him forevermore!

God is my fortress and my stronghold. In Him will I trust. He will never fail!
